There is enough scope for sole trader ship in India, because most of the people are largely dependent on agriculture. A large number of small scale business and largely dependent on agriculture on agriculture. A large number of small scale business and industrial units are in existence even in villages. Our Gandhian economics and present Government's policies are also advocating the expansion of small and cottage industrial units, but still we observe the simultaneous expansion of a good number of industrial units, but still we observe the simultaneous expansion of sole trade ship In other words, we can say that the expansion of large inits have not come in the way of the expanded activities of the sole traders, on the contrary these have increased.

Although the small manufactures who had to face the competition form the mill made products yet the diversion of their areas or the restrictions of the Government in respect of the industrial activities, sufficient protection provided  to the small scale sole trader.
