Chemistry is a subject of global impact, has entered into the central stage of all disciplines. As a  fundamental science, it has a profound effect on our planet and is involved in nearlly everry facet of everyday life. Our lives depend on chemistry in action in our bodies, our food and our environment. Material we use everyday such as plastics, paints, and dyes are the result of chemical research. Artificial fibers, new medicines and even microchips that run computers could not have been developed without the skill and knowledge of chemists. Almost every new technology change and important discovery has its foundation in chemistry. In short, chemists influence our lives and make the world a better place to live in.

Having a chemistry qualification is rather like having an open flight ticket to any destination in the world. It gives a wide disciplines and great choice. Without chemistry qualification from school, college or beyondis not just an end itself, it's a beginning.

So while we are all users of chemistry themselves there is the added dimension of challenge and new discovery the opportunity to directly influence the quality of life.

SDcience never stands still. The 21st centuryis going to be an important time to understand and develop those processes that so critically affect futurefor all of us.
