#)The Kite runner:
This film is based on the friendship between two Afghanistan boys.Most of the story takes part in Afghanistan and some of them also in USA.Really a touching movie.Actually this is based upon a novel and for your information this novel was the best selling novel in USA in 2005 and also won many International prizes throughout the world.
The movie is about a friendship that develops between a rich boy and his servant and when the rich boy finds that his father was so kind towards that servant boy, he starts to hate him and also the friendship starts to broke.But that poor boy is unaware why his friends is behaving like this and after that he leaves that house.
The rich boy and his father leaves Afghanistan due to Soviet invasion and they reach USA.After 22 years the boy gets a phone call form his family friend in Pakistan and after reaching Pakistan he finds his friend was dead and he also finds that his friend was none other than his own brother.As he was not having any children he decides to find his brother's son in Kabul and he decided to go to Kabul.
There he faces lots of problem and finally manages to get the boy and he takes him to USA.The reason why the film has got this name is that, both these boys used to fly kites at their young age in Kabul and after winning the poor boy will run to get the kite that his friend has cut and he is usually called as "The Kite Runner".At the climax when the rich boy adopted his brother's son he takes him to a park and there he runs for the kite which his nephew has cut.A fantastic movie to watch for.
#)The Schindler's list
This is another master piece from Stephen Spielberg.This is about a businessman called Oskar Schindler and this is based on a real story.This is just not a movie it is like a life and moreover this man Schindler is a life saver or even preached as god by those people who are alive today because of him.Its because of this Oskar Schindler more than 1000 families are alive today.
This film goes back to 1945 during the Second World war period in 1945.Germans invaded Poland and they have started to kill innocent people.At that time a German Businessman started a company in Poland only with the motive of earning money.
The most important part of this movie he is not aware of the fact that people working in his company are safe and comfortable than other people outside the company.There comes a moment where he gives lots of money to get as many people as possible to move to his new company in Austria and when the Russians defeat the Germans, Schindler decides to leave them because they might catch him.
At the time of this farewell he cries and this is the amazing moment in this film and it is touching.He also feels for not saving others with the money he had.Then at the end of this film we can see those people who are saved by Schindler and this is also truly emotional moment.
I guess most of us will cry after watching this movie and I assure you that a change will occur in your life and this is not an ordinary change but this might be a small change or just understanding what is human life and the joy and happiness that we can feel when we help others.
The reason why the film has got this name is that, Schindler prepares a list of around 1000 people and gave to the German officer and he also bribed him for each and every person.The people in that list are saved and their families which at present is about 3000 people are living happily in different parts of this world, thanks to Oskar Schindler.The image below shows Schindler(Who is standing) prepares a list which later becomes the life saver.
#)The Shawsank Redemption
If you are a Morgan Freeman fan here is one of his best movie.This is about a prison break story about two prisoners Tim Robbins, who won Academy award for the film Mystic River and Morgan Freeman.This is about the banker Tim Robbins who was convicted for murdering his wife and was given two consecutive life sentence.
There he meets Morgan Freeman and they become good friends.As he was a banker Tim Robbins helped number of policemen and also the jailer regarding the tax problem and he gets good name.He was very silent and he also sets up a library.
Everything was going fine until one day when the police was shock to know that he broke the prison.He was very clever and used a small hammer and started to make a tunnel from his cell and he also hid the gap with the help of poster.
When he was in jail he said Morgan to meet find a treasure in a secret place which he said to him , when Freeman was released.He also said about the place called Zihuatanejo .After Morgan was released he goes to the place which was mentioned by Tim and he finds a box which contains a letter and some money and after reading this letter he came to know tat Time will be waiting for him in Zihuatanejo, on the Pacific cost and he finally reaches that place and finds Tim was waiting for him.
Both were happy and started to lead a happy life.Initially Tom Hanks was to do the role done by Tim Robbins.But he rejected the offer as he was busy in his film Forest Gump, which eventually won an academy award for best actor.The reason why they used this titles is that the prison where they were kept is called "The Shwasank".
#)Remember the Titans
This film is a treat for Denzel Wahshington fans.This is also based on a true story and the theme of the movie is to avoid racism.The film goes way back to 1971 where the racism was at its high and black and white people never unite and they often involve in quarrel.
The incident takes place at Williams High School in Virginia where Denzel was appointed as the new coach of the the School's football team and the white students in that school hate him as he was black and they asked their previous coach who was white coach Bill Yoast not to quit.
But Denzel gave Bill an opportunity to become the assistant coach.At first Bill refuses but later he accepts the offer.Then the rest of the film is about the practices and training given by Denzel to these students.But apart from this the important job done by Denzel is that he also unites them and the team consists of both blacks and whites.
One of the talented player Gerry couldn't participate in the important match due to an accident and in spite of his absence the team plays well and manages to Win the championship title and also did well at the National Championship, where they finished second.Then after 10 years the team reunites for the funeral of Gerry who was died in an accident.Extremely wonderful film and the reason why they have chose this title is to remember those people who are responsible for the unity of black and white
