Our teeth are the hardest part of our body. We use them to bite, tear and chew food. So they have to be very strong. If we do not take care of our teeth, they will decay and fall off. If a permanent tooth falls, it will not grow again.

We eat something or the other throughout the day. A thin layer of food gets deposited on our teeth. If we do not rinse our mouth after eating food, the layer becomes thick and our teeth begin to look yellow. This yellow layer is called plaque.

Bits of food which stick to the teeth can cause tiny germs called bacteria to grow in the mouth. These germs break own the food particles. This produces and acid, the acid makes a hole or a cavity in the tooth. This causes toothache.

Your face beauty depends on your teeth. So do it fresh by brush.

Brush your teeth every day morning and every night before going to bed. Make sure that your brush moves up and down. Unclean teeth become yellow due to accumulation of tartar.

Wash your mouth after each meal.

Don’t eat too many sweets and chocolates.

Don’t touches with too heat and too clod water or ice.

If we take care of our teeth, we can save them from decay. Bits of food sticking to the teeth can cause the growth of bacteria. Bacteria first attack the enamel, then the dentine and finally the pulp. When bacteria reach nerves with in the pulp, it causes pain. Tooth decay results in bad breath, cavities, toothache, bleeding gums and indigestion.

It is a good habit to visit a dentist at regular intervals, to keep your teeth. Clean, healthy and make it last longer.

A dentist can fill your teeth cavities, clean and remove the tarter collected on the teeth. If your teeth are not well aligned, a dentist can put a steel wire and make some adjustments over a period of time. This makes your teeth grow straight and evenly.

Food eaten row, like apple, carrot and radish, helps in keeps your teeth clean. Minerals like calcium are also essential. Milk is one of the foods rich in calcium.

As each milk tooth falls off, a permanent tooth grows in its place. 20 milk teeth make way for 32 adult teeth. An adult has a set of 8 incisors or cutting teeth, a set of 4 canines for treating, a set of 8 premolars and 12 molars for chewing, crushing and grinding.
