Michelle was looking very fresh today; she was desperately waiting for Peter to come. Peter was her boyfriend for four years and she loved him too much. Both had met in an airplane while going to Budapest. Both met many times during their stay at Budapest. The association for few hours became so strong that they were in touch even after five years. And today after five years, she was going to meet him personally.

Michelle had baked a chocolate cake with her own hands which was Peter’s favourite. She was about to leave for the airport, soon her mobile rang up. It was a call from her office telling that there was a bomb blast nearby and she had to be on duty right now. She wanted to inform Peter about it but yet he had contacted her. Peter was to arrange for the phone number after getting down from the flight.

She changed her dress and went rushing to the hospital. Her duty there was as an emergency nurse in trauma unit. She at once reached the hospital and was soon ready in her gowns and gloves. Mobile had already been switched off and kept outside in the Nurses duty room.

The scene inside the hospital and trauma unit operation theatre was heart-shattering. There were people with blown out limbs, wounded heads and bleeding nostrils. She had seen many emergencies while being in trauma unit but this was most terrible of all.

Whole day she was busy in the care of patients and got relieved in the evening when Sandra joined her duty. Sandra was also on leave and had joined her duty after the call from hospital.

After changing the gowns and gloves, she got back into the office cab that was going to leave her at home. She switched her mobile on; there was a voice mail from Peter. He had come and was staying in the city hotel. She rang him up and called him to her home.

Michelle was back home with the faces of wounded people in her mind. She was not able to express her happiness on Peter's arrival, rather was crying. She had met her boyfriend after five years but on a very tragic day.
