What is the role of parent?

Parents play a vast role in every child's life.We are here in this world for parents. The basic roles of the parents are, to educate their children, make them learn discipline, take care of home and support the family financially and to be a good citizen. Now in modern day father take proper care of their children. Parent must have proper childcare. They should not neglect their child in anyway.

Take care of the biological need of children

It is the duty of every parent to look after the biological needs of their children. Physical needs are very essential for every child, which includes proper food, clothing, shelter, suitable climate, proper sleep and airy environment. Parents should look after the environment, which suits their children. It is the duty of every parent to look after the environment of the home, the atmosphere and the environment in which his or her children feel comfortable. If any changes needed, they must do such changes also.

Protection of children

Parents must check the surrounding areas where they are living. They must aware their children about the good and bad things before moving out in their own. Safety measures must be taught to them. It is the duty of the parents to make their children aware of the right things and aware them about the wrong things because wrong can be very harmful for others and can harm the children. The parents must make a loving atmosphere for their children who help children to feel safe and they grow up to be a good citizen.

Child's education

Parent's role does not end when they provide their children with food, clothing and shelter. Instead, parent's biggest role is to give proper education to their children, to increase their knowledge to educate them so that they can stand on their own leg and have the capability to face this challenging and real world. Another duty of parent's is to make their children learn how to talk, walk, read and write and for this parent need lot of patience and behave very friendly with their child. However, parents should have the proper observation towards their children and provide proper instruction and guidance. Children must teach to be a good woman or man.

It is necessary to teach children about the culture of the family and the community. Parents should introduce their children with all the family members, their relatives and neighbor that in future will help the children to learn the moral values of the family. It is necessary for the parents to make their child self dependent.  When any home works or tasks given from the school by the teacher parent should not let their child to copy from anywhere, instead encourage them to write in their own. This will help to increase the vocabulary and knowledge of writing. Therefore, parents play a very important role in child's life.

Motivating the child

Every parent wants to see his or her child a successful person. So if parents find that their children have certain aim or goal in life do not let their aim down instead motivate them to reach their target or goal. Motivation helps children to gain more confidence. Encourage the child both in their success and in failure. Teach the children that if they are failure then it makes them learn something, which can help them to get success in future. Parents are like the coach to their children. Their encouraging behavior, motivation and proper guidance can help their children to be a good citizen.

Take care of emotional skills

It is the duty of the parents to look after the emotional skills of the children. Parents should not compare their child with other child. Instead, make them learn what they are. Encourage the children to be unique one. Teach them how to make a healthy relation and how to express the feelings. Try to keep the children away from the negative thoughts, which can affect their emotion. Try to love the children and make them learn about the positive thought that can help them to be a healthy adult. Teach them how to control themselves in any situation. 

Teaching of the discipline

Discipline can change one's life. Discipline helps to be a proper person. Parent must teach their children proper discipline. They must teach how to behave politely with others. When children does anything wrong instead of scolding and beating them parents should behave politely, make them understand with love and try to realize them their mistakes. This attitude will prevent the child from getting rude. Always parents should show a calm reaction towards their child.

Try to control the children, make them learn some rules. Do not encourage them when they are wrong instead stopping them from doing any inappropriateness. Do not encourage the child to watch TV or play games while they are studying. Most parents do so. Therefore, it is necessary for the parents to learn discipline first and then make their child learn so.

Conclusion

Therefore, to be a good parent it is necessary to do the best for the children. As a parent, one must become a giver and not the receiver. It is the duty of the parent to give their children but beside they must teach their children about their responsibility towards their parents. This will help the children to learn the value of parents. As one day they will also become the parents and this will help them too to make their children learn so.
