It is reported that in many Asians esp Chinese there is absence of the enzyme lactase which is responsible for milk (lactose) digestion. Such persons cannot digest milk and in their childhood mothers force them to take milk which causes them lot of problems. However they can take milk products like paneer and curd safely. In India also this problem exists and children are forced to take milk. Awarenes is now there. Milk overdose can cause intestinal retention problems.

Anything you take more than the quantity it will trouble you. Panner is also has some disadvantages and not suited for diabetic patients. People should take the quantity of items depends upon their age.

You are right; anything if taken beyond a limit will harm the body. There is a saying in Malayalam (and also in Tamil): Adhiakm aayal amruthavum visham; which means, “If you take in excess quantity, even nectar may become poison”.

A very valid point, even some babies are lactose intolerant and cannot take milk. For such babies milk is not suitable however, there are special milk powder which is given as a substitute in cases where babies are not breast fed. Even in adults this problem can create a lot of issues and so milk is best avoided.

Actually milk is not natural diet. Milk is meant for infants of the mother. So buffalo milk is meant for ofspring of that anial only. Human babies need breast feeding by mom. It appears adults should not drink milk. Meat, foodgrains, vegetables and fruits are our natural diet.

Yes, even for babies after the first year, doctors advise giving milk products such as curd, cheese, butter and so on and not milk to ensure overall growth.

Seeing that cows and buffaloes are regularly injected with hormones such as oxytocin to increase milk production artificially and also the presence of harmful medicines such as albendazole that is fed to the animals for keeping infections away, drinking more than a cup of milk has anyway become hazardous! So safe bet is just one cup a day and no more!
