Yes it was Sachin Tendulkar who gave the Golden era to the Indian Cricket Team. He is the best of all the cricket players.
It's the players who finish their job. it's a person who retires, great or ordinary the game goes on. It did not finish when Don retired, it did not end when Gavaskar retired, it will go on, only Sachin would be missed but he will be happy with his family. So nothing would end because a player has retired after giving his best.

Among 1000 players, one player rise up to a height from where he could see people cheering for him. This is the greatest achievement of his life. Nothing can give so much pleasure to him except the cheering of his people. People have never cheered so much before as they have done now. This is the "Golden Era of Indian Cricket Team" which ends with the retirement of Sachin Tendular.
He has faced many situations which could have broken down anybody but he never moved back. He kept playing and playing. That should be the spirit of all Indians.

He had his own share of failures. But, he never gave up. This an important lesson for the youngsters. Sachin is not just a book of records. His life is a Book of values too.
Surely. this is the golden era of Indian Cricket with Dravid over 50 avg. in tests , so as Sachin, apart from this Laxman, and Ganguly and Shewag too, and also highest wicket taker Anil Kumble, so much there that perhaps this sort of period will never come again.

With the retire of Sachin Tendulkar the golden period over. We never forget such great players. What your point for " Master Blaster"

It is right that Sachine is great player and we never forgot him. But it is not right that golden period over. It is right that one era is over. Next generation doing great. Kohli, rohit, Dhawan, Jadeja and some are waiting for their tenure. Future of Indian cricket is bright.

Nothing lasts for ever. All good things will come to an end. That doesn't mean all good things are exhausted. It's continuous process. Old has to give way to new.

It is habit of human being to say who is after it. who is after Nehru, who is after Indira Gandhi and who is after Sachine.

It has not taken even 6 months for Lal Bahadur shastri to make the people forget about Nehru.

yes it is right, Lal Bhadur Shastri was a simple person. But his deed is great. But he never get respect which he deserved. @ nd October is birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahudar but this day is celebrated and Gandhi Jyanti.

Its the ability to leave an indelible mark on the society be it cricket or any other field. Don't forget man operates. Cricket bat will not make centuries after centuries without the batsman. And its this ability in a man that makes him immortal.
Sachin Tendulkar is a brilliant player and has achieved an iconic status that the greatest of the players also could not achieve! He will forever remain great and will be loved by all in spite of the many controversies or difference of opinions! Just wanted to share here the illustration of Sachin done by my husband for a leading newspaper in my state!
