India needs a full time defence minister so far Arun jaitley was managing the two portfolios- Defence and Finance. Happily, now we have full fledged defence minister- Panikar, ex Goa C.M. Besides, there are new ministers drawn from U.P., Bihar, Jharhand etc. It apperas that some regional and caste equations have also been considered keeping in view forthcoming assembly elections. Also most of the ministers are drawn from RSS cadre. The criteriaon of seecting mnisters appears same as that of UPA. Significantly, shiv Sena withdrew its nominee who had to leave Delhi without joinng the union cabinet. Thre is a tussle between Shiv Sena and BJP. shiv Sena may sit in opposition in Maharashtra assembly.

    It also shows that Modi is not so rigid and is willing to show flexibility whenever it is needed the most. Especially by selecting Manohar Parrikar as the Defence Minister, he has exhibited fine judgement, for Parrikar is a hardworking, honest person who can lead the defence ministry wisely.

    whatever, I did not like break up of BJP and Siva Sena a bit. I am feeling so negative on rigidness of both these natural allies for such a long time.

    It is Shiv sena that is simply not willing to compromise on any lines, they should realise that times are changing and the need of the hour is to bend back to some degrees for common good!

    It is Shiv sena that is simply not willing to compromise on any lines, they should realise that times are changing and the need of the hour is to bend back to some degrees for common good!


    I tend to think the same, Uddhav is acting in the most immature manner and probably cutting his own feet by this act...Such arrogance will not be tolerated by the public, the plight of an arroganrt congress shd be a lesson to all political parties..

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    Shiv Sena is still not comprehending the reality that it is BJP on its own it has majority and this is a coalition government but the way indecisiveness crippling with SS seems to justify lack of strong and coherent leadership.

    They are simply not able to understand that the number of votes BJP won are almost double the votes they themselves could win. Even when Balasaheb Thakrey was alive, they could not win the way BJP won now. So if they wish to be a part of the ruling party, they need to give up their childish demands and think maturely!

    The BJP is largest party not having full majority. If BJP had just 20 seats less in Lok Sabha, the drama in Maharashtra would be seen at the center also. All this proves that JP and shiv sena are no better than Congress and NCP. The BJP is willing to annoy shiv sena (natural allies) on basis of likely support from N.C.P. (dubbed as naturally corrupt party by Modi). This is all comical and amusing.

    NCP announced unconditional support and this is nothing BJP to do with, what SS is doing is it is still not able to comprehend the reality of Indian politics which has experienced sea-change due to massive mandate of PM Modi, and BJP is willing to ally lesser known parties but not go down with bargaining of SS and before Nitish Kumar party.

    True...and the BJP SHOULD NOT compromise their bargaining with Shivsena at this point at all, but go with other lesser parties if the SS is unwilling to give in. This will not only prove a lesson to all but also show everyone that they mean real business and not mere monkey business.
