It was an unexpected result favouring just one party where a coalition was thought to be on cards... What could possibly be the reasons. Also Narayana Murthy's son also won in some area by a big majority.

Politics is an unpredictable phenomenon. Anything may happen. Upsets are not very uncommon.

Not only in India everywhere there were occasions when predictions and exit polls proved wrong.

Their exist and opinion poll also dumped like India, as most of them favored hung assembly but the way conservatives turns into landslide victory proves Britons want their country to be out of EU.

Seldom opinion polls catch the mood of the electorate.

People are happy with Conservative party's performance and with David Cameron and that is the reason why the party has come back with a thumping majority. Cameron has been secular in the true sense of the term and done a lot i the way of lifting the economy from a long standing recession..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

The Tories have won on plank of being separate and leading to greater economic well being. They will leave EU and  dont be surprised if at some stage they join the US for after all the majority of Americans are anglo saxon and there is strong affinity with England.

Britain may leave EU because they want to keep their identity intact but they will never join America for the same reason. They are very particular about their monarchy and their own culture which is unique and want to maintain it as long as they can...

When people are with a government, that assure stability, a sound economy and security, that government wins.  David Cameron stood up to the expectations of the electorate. And the results are there before us to see.

People like his health assurance programs and moderate view to all controversial issues and that is why he gets thumping majority.
