Soil is the layer which is present on the top of the surface of the earth. It may contain minerals, dead micro organisms, water and other particles. Fertile soil is very much needed for proper vegetation. In India we have different types of soil namely the alluvial soil, the black soil, red soil, Forest and mountain soil, laterite soil and arid and desert soil.
