Commonly most of USB stick(Pen-Drives) are formated using FAT(File Allocation Table) or FAT32 file system.Windows XP uses a new file system named NTFS(New Technology File System).The NTFS file system has quite a few advantage against FAT file system. For instance it saves small files faster, the storage capacity can be increased through drive compression, and you can work with usre right and encrypt files. So you need to convert the file system of your pen drive to NTFS. There are many tool are available to do this task, but you face some problem to find these tools. So there is an easy and free way to format your pen drive using NTFS. Command prompt in the windows can do this task easily with the help of "convert" command. This Command offers to convert file system of drives. So You can use this command. 1. Start Command Prompt. 2. Provide This command convert name of pen drive:/fs:ntfs and press Enter. Like as : covert h:/fs:ntfs where h: is name of your pen drive or any partition of hard disk. You must replace your desired drive with the h:. After few seconds You will find that your pen drive has been formatted with NTFS. Have A FUN!!!!!
