Is seo - Search Engine Optimization is a fools work ?

Most of the software engineers whom I know, when they listen to seo work which I do they feel interesting but once they listen about it in deep they says its fools work and am doing fraud. Do digital marketing or seo is a fraud work?

 

Then there are many companies which are completely depend on this work then what about them are they fooling others?

No. Search Engine Optimization is a strategy to increase the amount of visitors to a website. No, SEO can neither become obsolete nor useless.

I do not think that it is useless. It is quite useful to work with SEO techniques.

How can it be a fools work when it is being widely used on the net....Nothing is ever useless until something better comes along but we must remember that whatever came was because of what was existing before , only with better features

People think its fools work because, if there is no SEO then some sight which is having eligibility may come up at top position. As SEO is there, so due to the techniques we use may pull up the site which is having no eligibility to be at top. I feel this is the main reason why they think it is fools work.
