Those who think that in Hindu India all hindus will be treated equally are mistaken.The caste system will ensure that more than 80% are ruled by the top 20% . Now a Goa leader says he is 'Hindu Christian'. I don't know what sense this contains. If 'Christian' in India is also a Hindu, why they lament over so conversios of Hindus to Christians. Why they burnt a Christian missionary in Orissa a few years back. also I wonder if Akalis will consider thmselves as 'Hindu sikhs' and Muslims will be happy with label of 'Hindu Muslims' Is it not better to use the word 'Indian' or 'Bhartiya' for all Indians.

This is true because Indian Christians still follow the caste system. Mangalore has a huge Christian population and unless it is a love marriage, all their marriages are conducted exactly like HIndus where they see the caste of the groom or bride (based on the time of conversion during their forefathers time ) and never encourage inter caste marriages, so is the case among Goan Catholics too in fact all along Konkan coast where majority of Indian Catholics live ,,
