The  Union Minister Doctor, Shripad Naik has reportedly said that , some Allopathy Doctors often advise patients  not to opt for Ayurveda. And such Doctors are Anti -Nationals. I'm seeing the HAND of that party, which is bent upon malign Modi.

Here there is nobody even naming Modi- much less maligning him. The minister in the union government made a statement on nationalism. So nobody else has a hand in the issue.  He said that doctors who oppose prescription of Ayurveda are anti national. 

This is the issue. How will you define nationalism. Is preferring or not preferring certain medicine system anti nationalist or nationalist. This way, one day somebody may say that not using Patanjali products is anti nationalistic. 

I tend to agree with the minister, because as Indians we need to encourage our own system of medicine that has proved to be very useful. Comparing that to eating cake seems absurd .

I have personally seen how doctors ridicule any other branch of medicine other than allopathy, which shows a very restricted , narrow minded and arrogant view.

I also don't like ridiculing any branch of medicine. I myself use Homeopathic medicines more often. Many ridicule such medicines also.  This is bad.  But it is too much to say that preference for any medicine system or opposing is anti national. Nationalism cannot be defined in terms of individual preferences for food, medicine, clothes.   

Ayurveda is  India's own therapeutic Medical System having thousands of years of History. Susruta, known as the First Plastic Surgeon of the world, conducted several surgeries thousands of Years ago which look as mysteries even to the Modern Plastic Surgeons. Similarly YOGA. Seeing its importance and efficacy gaining all over the world UN declared  June 21 every year  as the International Yoga Day. Ridiculing Such precious indian  medical systems and therapeutic  methods,  is nothing but ridiculing one's self.

When the minister said it is anti national to advice against Ayurveda , he means that the doctors are not showing the respect or regard that should be shown to essentially what is an Indian based knowledge which is true in a way, depends on how one wants to interpret !

Then you should stop using mobiles as they are not developed by Indians.What ridiculous logic to justify a statement by your favorite party person, so you can go to any length to justify it. SIMPLY TOO FUNNY.

This is the kind of  argument put up by narrow and close minded people. Recognising and giving due importance to what is yours does not mean that you disregard others...what a stupid rejoinder ! 

Stupid arguements will naturally attract stupid rejoinders. WHAT is new about it.

Coming back to the topic.. Ayurveda has become quite popular in Malaysia and also in the USA since the 1970's where they have a Ayurvedic college in California. It is slowly but steadily getting established and attracting more interest .. Recently I met a Swedish lady who had come from Gothenburg in Sweden to study about Ayurveda, also get some treatment for her backache through Ayurveda..
