Yes, Ram Navami falls in Chaitra that is around mid March to mid April. So, Rama was born during the time when Navratra is observed in March-April and the Navratra during the autumn season started from the day when Rama invoked Goddess Durga for help.  Vijayadashami is very important in autumnal Durga Puja which is also known as Dussehra while it does not hold a great significance during the Spring Navratra.
