Looking city of South India are safe than North.

Definitely. In general most of the Southern cities are safes cities. But not all. For example, my own city is not so safe. Atrocities on woman, rape and murder are almost regular happenings

I think the smaller cities tend to be safer because there is not much migrant or floating population ..It could be the same in the northern states as well. The problem is domestic violence which has no record since no one reports it whch happens everywhere but never spoken about ..

Of course...Domestic Violence is a silent crime. A woman, bound by marriage and the fear of society, tolerates mental and physical harassment. Its very unfortunate.

In many cases women forget about physical abuse once the husbands are good to them and any effort made by anyone to bring out the issue is nipped in the bud. I remember a case that happened here about a woman , mother of one of our students who would come with bruises at times . She confided in me that her husband would beat her up at the slightest pretext and many a times she had left home but he wd follow her , promise her never to hit her and bring her back. 2 years ago he pushed her so hard that her head and right side of her face and ear got severely damaged to the extent her jaw was broken and she lost her hearing capacity in the right ear. But even after that although she wanted to Lodge a complaint, his parents, brothers etc threatened , cajoled her not to do so ...Now he is back to his old ways  and the poor woman has become immune to everything around her. One can imagine the impact this would happen on her two children, they would hate their father !

That's very sad case and would surely effect the children. Hating father is just one of the issue. Children grown up under such atmosphere are likely to show behavioural problems.

Definitely, domestic violence lead to many unwanted results on all the members of the family, especially on children  Children who live in homes, where there is domestic violence grow up in an environment that is unpredictable, filled with tension and anxiety, and dominated by fear.

This can lead to significant emotional and psychological trauma.

Very true, in fact psycho analysts agree that it is better to separate and lead independent lives rather than make the home atmosphere miserable and unhealthy by being under the same roof.
