    Though the opening of bank account does not entail direct employment opportunities, but in a way it does pave way for reducing corruption of poor people at the hands of sahookars/moneylenders. This is what is appreciable.

    It is the other way round....saving cannot generate employment but makes sure that a person becommes more secure and financially aware of the possibilities that he has where his earnings are concerned.When you develop the saving habit you become careful with your money .
