Custom: Woman are advised to apply turmeric powder paste to their legs. This had been a custom, and now in this fast century also we find ladies applying turmeric powder paste to their legs.

Question: What is the scientific reason behind this???

That's because turmeric has been known to improve blood circulation, improve complexion and texture of the skin and also by long-term use, remove unwanted fine hairs from arms and legs!!

Also turmeric provides coolness in the hot season and as said by Kalyani..it enhances the color of the skin..

Hmmmmmmmmmm.....is that because since women are prone to get varicose veins, turmeric being beneficial for circulatory system, it was specifically being applied to legs????

Turmeric can be used to prevent cracks in the feet. Is this the reason,women are applying to their legs.
